About Me

I'm a financial journalist and I live in New York. Among others, I have written for Dow Jones Newswires, The Wall Street Journal and thestreet.com. I am currently undertaking my second graduate degree, an MA at NYU.

This is a blog about the global economy. I started it more as a pedagogical exercise and as an outlet for my opinions on global markets while I was studying an MBA in Oslo, and since then it has become a great way for me to play with ideas for stories, as well as link up and connect disparate events in world markets.

Suffice it to say then that this the 'work in progress' part of the journalistic equation: much of this stuff is the raw, unedited opinion and thinking process that goes on behind the creation of an article.
